Assistant Head of Ropes

Responsibilities – Ropes Technical:

• Specific onsite training including technical rescues, overall training of staff
• Assists head of ropes where needed – assist in belaying duties
• Supervise daily ropes operations
• Assists and execute technical rescues
• Primarily responsible for staff supervision and pre – use inspection while on duty

Other Roles – Ropes General:

• Support Head of Ropes in organising staff bonding events
• Support staff mental, physical and emotional health
• Works with coaches to schedule sessions
• Attend and co-ordinates in Evening Programs and Heroship Awakening host duties

Job Requirements:

• Level 2 from an accredited ACCT vender
• Clean Police Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Check
• Standard First Aid with CPR-C
• Strong understanding and confidence on all Olympia Ropes Elements
• Strong interpersonal skills to assist in leading a team of 25+ ropes staff
• Experience with Kids 8-17
