Assistant Head of Tuck

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head in opening and closing registers for staff members, managing day-end closing procedures, and addressing overages and shortages as needed.
  • Ensure that each shift is appropriately staffed to maintain smooth operations.
  • Plan and delegate daily tasks based on operational needs and objectives, assigning these tasks to staff and overseeing their completion.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of product presentation areas and storage spaces.
  • Handle customer issues, including returns and queries, to provide effective resolution and maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in the training and development of staff, fostering growth opportunities for experienced team members.
  • Offer recognition and constructive feedback to staff throughout their shifts.
  • Operate the Pro side computer to manage staff accounts and provide coaching as necessary.
  • Manage cash and credit card transactions to ensure accurate financial transactions.
  • Represent the Tuck department at Coaches meetings when the Head is unavailable.
  • Serve as the Tuck representative during Opening Ceremonies, including announcing the recycling challenge.
  • Coordinate the Skit Night performance related to laundry announcements and oversee the distribution of laundry bags.
  • Collaborate in the organization of staff appreciation events.
  • Set a positive example by demonstrating desirable behavior and upholding the values of Olympia.
  • Actively supervise and motivate staff to achieve their best performance.
  • Fill in for Tuck staff roles and duties in cases of staff shortages.

Job Requirements:

  • Standard First Aid with CPR-C
  • Clean Police Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Excellent customer Service & Communication Skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Kids 8-17
  • Experience in a supervisory or management role is preferred
  • Retail experience, use of POS system, handling tender is preferred
  • Able to lift weight of 25 lbs
  • G2 or G license (or international equivalent) preferred
