For more than a decade, The SportLab’s skilled clinicians have treated Muskoka’s athletes and active community. They utilize decades of professional experience, combined with unique knowledge as athletes themselves, to deliver the highest standard of performance medicine in the region.
As Muskoka’s first athlete-focused clinic, The SportLab strives to not only ‘treat’ their active clients but make them better than before. Their Team recognizes that an injury should only ever be a small pause on the long road to achieving your personal best.
The SportLab’s commitment is to educate, develop and implement strategies that will assist athletes and active individuals in their commitment to active living and sport. Their goal is to assist all clients to attain victory over their own individual challenges. They are dedicated to the pursuit of having each individual achieve their personal best. By doing so, each athlete experiences victory in the truest sense.
The SportLab’s clinicians have been privileged to work with some of the most decorated athletes in the world. With athlete representation in 10 Olympic Games and dozens of World Cups/Championships, they have learned what it takes to be elite. What makes their work truly rewarding is bringing this greatness back to their local community and instilling the same principles of success in every one of the athletes whom they work with. Their commitment is to make every active individual better, faster.
Throughout the summer, a member of The SportLab team will be the Strength and Conditioning Coach for specialty sports/activity programs. The Strength and Conditioning Coach will design age-appropriate training sessions that use best practices in performance science.
The SportLab Strength and Conditioning Coach will design and implement programming for campers that will include the components of the following training domains:
- Power
- Strength
- Endurance
- Cardiometabolic Conditioning
- Mobility/Flexibility
- Speed
- Agility
