Accessibility Policy
Olympia Sports Camp
- Purpose
Olympia Sports Camp is committed to providing accessible goods, services, and facilities that respect the dignity and independence of all individuals. This Accessibility Policy outlines our commitment to meeting the requirements of applicable accessibility legislation in Canada, including the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and the Canadian Human Rights Act.
- Scope
This policy applies to all employees, volunteers, agents, and contractors working on behalf of Olympia Sports Camp, as well as any third parties who provide goods, services, or facilities on our behalf.
- Commitment
Olympia Sports Camp is committed to:
– Ensuring that our policies, practices, and procedures are consistent with the principles of dignity, independence, integration, and equal opportunity for all individuals.
– Identifying, preventing, and removing barriers to accessibility in a timely manner.
– Providing training to employees, volunteers, and other relevant stakeholders on accessibility laws and best practices.
– Engaging with individuals with disabilities to understand their accessibility needs and preferences.
- Communication
Olympia Sports Camp will communicate with individuals with disabilities in ways that take into account their accessibility needs. This includes providing information in accessible formats or with communication supports upon request.
- Training
Olympia Sports Camp will provide training to employees, volunteers, and contractors on the requirements of applicable accessibility laws and on how to interact with individuals with disabilities in a manner that is respectful and inclusive.
- Feedback
Olympia Sports Camp welcomes feedback regarding the accessibility of our goods, services, and facilities. Feedback can be provided in person, by telephone, in writing, or by electronic means. All feedback will be directed to Greg Rogers (Associate Director), who will respond in a timely manner.
- Accessibility Plans
Olympia Sports Camp will establish, implement, and maintain an Accessibility Plan that outlines the steps we will take to identify and remove barriers to accessibility. This plan will be reviewed and updated at least once every five years.
- Emergency Situations
Olympia Sports Camp will provide information and assistance to individuals with disabilities during emergency situations, taking into account their specific needs.
- Modifications to this Policy
Olympia Sports Camp may, from time to time, modify or amend this policy in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
