Outdoor Centre- Head of Waterfront

Responsibilities: 

• Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and suitability of the waterfront area for client use.
• Ensure proper storage of equipment.
• Verify the operational condition of rescue boats and maintain them as necessary.
• Monitor and restock boating kits and first aid kits as needed.
• Conduct regular inventories of all waterfront programming equipment and report findings to the overseeing OED director.
• Enforce compliance with LSS, OPHEA, and OCA regulations pertaining to the waterfront.
• Provide comprehensive training to all OED instructors on waterfront procedures and rules.
• Educate all waterfront staff on rules, procedures, and performance expectations.
• Organize and oversee swim tests, including setup and management.
• Ensure all waterfront documents are accurately scanned and filed.
• Assist in risk management training for all staff.
• Fulfill all standard OED instructor duties.

Job Requirements:

• Standard First Aid with CPR-C 
• Clean Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
• National Lifeguard
• Pleasure Craft Operator Card is an asset 
• Strong Communication Skills
• Experience with children 
• Waterfront experience 
• Pervious Olympia OED experience 
• Ability to lead a team 
•  Ability to work long hours
