Outdoor Education Instructor

Facilitating Programming:

• Lead and guide clients, including students and adults, through various program activities.
• Customize and adapt programs to meet the specific needs and preferences of different client groups.
• Create an engaging and enriching experience for program participants through effective communication and program delivery.

Ensuring the Safety of All Participants:

• Prioritize the safety and well-being of all program participants.
• Adhere to safety protocols and conduct regular risk assessments.
• Actively monitor and address safety concerns during program activities to maintain a secure environment.

Performing General Duties On-Site:

• Undertake a variety of general on-site duties essential for smooth operation.
• Tasks may include maintenance, equipment setup, administrative responsibilities, and other duties to support overall facility operations.
• Contribute to the efficient functioning of the program location, ensuring a positive experience for all involved.

Job Requirements:

• Standard First Aid with CPR-C 
• Clean Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
• Bronze Cross is an asset 
• National Lifeguard (NL) is an asset 
• Experience with ropes and challenge courses is an asset
• Pleasure Craft Operator Card is an asset 
• Strong Communication Skills
• Experience with children 
• Ability to work in a team
• Ability to work long hours
