Competitive Swim

COMPETITIVE SWIM

Olympia’s Competitive Swim Camp is designed for motivated athletes who want to take their training to the next level and strengthen every aspect of their performance in the pool. This high-energy program blends expert coaching, focused technical work, and the fun and friendship that make Olympia such a special place to train and grow.
Throughout the week, swimmers participate in structured training sessions led by experienced competitive swim coaches who understand how to challenge athletes while keeping the atmosphere positive, supportive, and motivating. Campers refine their technique across all four competitive strokes—freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly—ensuring they develop efficient movement, proper mechanics, and strong stroke fundamentals.
In addition to stroke development, the program places a major emphasis on racing skills that can make or break a swimmer’s performance. Athletes receive guided practice and individualized feedback on starts, breakouts, underwater work, turns, finishes, pacing strategies, and race mindset—all essential components of competitive success. Land-based training such as dryland workouts, mobility sessions, and strength-building exercises complements time in the water, helping swimmers boost endurance, core stability, and overall athleticism.
Athletes are grouped by age, ability, and experience to ensure every swimmer receives the right level of support and challenge. Whether they’re fine-tuning their stroke efficiency or gearing up for the next level of competition, campers leave Olympia feeling stronger, faster, more confident, and inspired to reach new personal bests.
