LEGO – Robotics (FIRST)
Robotics summer camp teaches your engineer the right skills to design and develop his or her passions and interests in STEM-related programs.
“Ready, set, robots!” – That’s all this camp is about! Have a problem? Let robots solve it. Ready to have a close companion? Let robots help you. Have safety concerns? Robots to the rescue. Dive into this camp’s activities and learn how robots function and how best you can code them to achieve your goals. There are millions of robot jobs in this world, so don’t think you’ll be done with this skill once the camp is over – this is just the beginning!
Robotics summer camp introduces and educates young campers and equips them with the essentials they’ll need in the field of science and technology and allows campers to design and build robots from scratch. Campers learn how to work as a team to build and test out their own robot designs underwater, in the sky, or on land. Campers from the ages of 12 and above are taught advanced level programs, which include letting campers work on more complex and high-end tech projects. Robotics camp also teaches Science Technology Engineering and Math related skills like coding, robotics, and electronics in a very fun and engaging way. Robotic experts who work at Olympia’s Robotics summer camp use toy robots and entertaining hands-on activities to teach campers and engage them in every aspect of STEM programs with the aim of creative exploration of tech skills.
Programs at robotics camp also include developing A.I. (artificial intelligence), and machine learning. The campers are given the opportunity to perform in robotics challenges and the most innovative and creative campers with the best robots get to showcase their robot inventions. These activities encourage campers to take robotics seriously and perform their best in all actives at robotics camp. It also helps the child gain confidence in his or her abilities and stay determined to become what he or she sets their mind to be in the future.
Why do kids need to attend a robotics summer camp? The future is changing fast. In the world today, everything around us, from the vehicles we ride to the smartphones we use daily, the game consoles our campers use, are all tied to robotics and mechanical engineering. If a camper dreams of someday working at NASA as an Aerospace Technician or at companies like Apple, a robotics summer camp can teach that camper the skills he or she needs at a young age to make that dream a reality.
